Grumpy Grandpa

About Grumpy

My name is Grumpy Grandpa. I have a daughter and two grandchildren that I LOVE spending time with. I also enjoy spending time with my dog, Plato. I enjoy playing golf with my buddies and learning how to use cool new gadgets that my grandkids bring over. Retired life is great! Although I’m active, I wear a Bay Alarm Medical alert button to ensure I am safe when I am home alone. It eases both, mine and my daughter’s mind. I don’t like her worrying so much about me like I’m some old man. I’m glad to say, with this medical alert button, I am still an independent and active young man.

Grumpy's Advice For Customers

When shopping around for a medical alert system, don’t just look for deals and give into pushy sales people. This a device that can save your life for goodness sake! Make sure you do your research and go with a company that you feel confident in.

Grumpy's Favorite Things

My favorite things:

- My family
- Plato (my dog)
- My independence
- Playing golf
- Watching Netflix

What Customers Are Saying About Grumpy
My mom lived by herself in Florida (I live in Chicago) and your alert actually saved her life! She woke at 3:00 a.m. to go to the bathroom and realized she couldn't stand up and was dizzy (we later found out she had a stroke). She was using a bedroom that didn't have a phone, so would have had no way of calling anyone. Thankfully she had your alert on, pressed the button, an ambulance came, retrieved her hidden key and took her to the hospital. She's recovering quickly, thanks to the quick attention. Thank you again, I recommend you highly to anyone who asks.

Alan Wu

VP of Sales & Marketing

awu@bayalarmmedical.com
About Alan

Alan has been with Bay Alarm Medical for 7+ years. His philosophy is simple: Love what you do and do what you love.

Alan's Role at Bay Alarm Medical

My primary goal here at Bay Alarm Medical is to provide our visitors with the most comfortable user-friendly web experience in our industry.

If you do build a great experience, customers tell each other about that. Word of mouth is very powerful.

Jeff Bezos, CEO Amazon.com

How has a Medical Alert System Helped You?

My grandfather moved in with my parents and occupied a downstairs in-law around the time he turned 80. He took a fall one morning while in the bathroom and couldn’t help himself up. Luckily, my dad was home on his day-off and heard my grandfather yell for help. Everything was okay as he was only stuck on the floor for a few minutes. However, that experience was enough for our family to set him up with a medical alert system. My grandfather passed away in 2010. Fortunately, he never took another fall and never had to push the button but we were glad that if anything were to have happened, help would have been a simple push-button away.

Jasmine's Advice For Customers

When shopping for a medical alert system, stay clear of pushy sales people. If you are being pressured into buying a bunch of products you don’t need, run! Make sure the medical alert company you go with has your best interest at heart and asks you the right questions as well as listens to your questions.

Kayla Quinn

Sales Manager

kquinn@bayalarmmedical.com
About Kayla

I’ve been part of the Bay Alarm Medical Team since 2013, and have over 8 years of customer service and sales experience in the books. Aside from working at Bay Alarm Medical, I love photography and watching football (especially the 49ers). One of my biggest goals in life is to travel the world, make new friends and create fun memories.

Kayla's Role at Bay Alarm Medical

I am currently the Care Consultant Manager, which means I am consistently working with my team to improve and progress our customer service skills when answering questions and providing information for our customers. It is difficult hearing about some of our customers’ struggles with various illnesses and physical ailments, but I strive to make everyone I speak to feel comfortable whether they choose our services or not.

What has the Medical Alert Industry Taught You?

The medical alert industry has been such a different experience compared to my previous sales positions with other companies. Instead of having the goal of aggressively selling and pushing products, this industry requires a higher level of care and honesty. Our team likes to act as doctors, though we haven’t had years of medical school, we really listen to our customers to determine what their fall history is, any medical conditions they have, and most of all, if our service is really a good fit for their needs. We never sell our products and services to people if they don’t need it.

Kayla's Advice For Customers

I always stress testing your medical alert system regularly. This is important so you can be sure that it will function properly in an emergency. We recommend testing it once a month and contacting our customer service line if ever you need assistance.

Andrew's Advice For Customers

My advice for customers would be to take precautionary steps when caring for your loved ones. Whether they are elderly or suffer from an illness, don’t wait until they fall or get too sick. Don’t be afraid to ask questions when searching for a medical alert system. The company you choose should welcome questions and be sympathetic with every family they come across.

Lisa's Role at Bay Alarm Medical

Though I don’t work directly with our customers, I work hard to support the company by ensuring the buying process runs smoothly for our customers. I worked on the Customer Service and Billing team for a few years before, and it was always fun talking to so many families everyday and being able to help them take care of their loved one. I’ve always had an interest and love for the behind the scenes work here at Bay Alarm Medical, and the company has done a great job preparing me to be successful at what I do. I always miss talking to our customers, but I’m glad my work is still part of helping them keep their friends and family safe.

What Customers Are Saying About Sean
I spoke with Sean regarding my mom's alarm system. Both times he was very helpful, professional and kind. When I began looking for a medical alert company, the way your customer service representatives responded to my questions was one of the reasons I chose Bay Alarm Medical. Now years later, it was very reassuring to have someone like Sean help me with my concerns. Thank you for the excellent customer service.

How has a Medical Alert System Helped You?

The years of stress and worry completely went away when our family decided to get a Bay Alarm Medical alert system for my aunt. A few years before, my uncle passed away and her kids were grown, so she lived alone. Although she still worked full time and was pretty healthy, no one would have ever predicted she would fall and be alone for hours before she got help. She was hesitant and didn’t want a medical alert system to take away her independence or age her. However, she tested it out and realized how important it was for us to feel peace of mind and for her to have that back up care.

Rachelle's Advice For Customers

I speak with families everyday who are shopping around for a medical alert system. I’ve been told other companies have tons of hidden fees and crazy contracts. My advice is to do your homework and make sure you are truly comfortable with the company you choose for yourself or your loved on. At the end of the day, the device and service could potentially save your loved one’s life.

What Customers Are Saying About Rachelle
Excellent customer service. She was wonderful! Very helpful. Made the process simple and appropriate for our needs. A great asset and what customer service should be. Made us feel comfortable with our decision and helped us make the right one for us. Very calm presence and friendly attitude. Made us feel very happy we went with your company and know we will be in good hands.

Trisha

Trisha's Role at Bay Alarm Medical

I am dedicated to making sure our customers get what they need, whether its an answer to a question or our medical alert services. I speak to customers all day by phone, email, and live chat. The most important thing I do is listen to each customer. It’s easy to offer a product to any person, but instead of taking that route, I offer the best service by paying close attention to each customer and their specific needs. With that, I never try to sell customers products they don’t really need. This role is really about helping people and their family.

What has the Medical Alert Industry Taught You?

This industry is about caring for people at a much greater level. It takes a lot of patience, understanding and a true passion for helping others.

Trisha's Advice For Customers

My advice to customers would be to ask questions and feel good about the system you are purchasing. There are multiple medical alert systems out there, but finding the one that works best for you and can give you as well as your family that peace of mind is the most important thing. Whether its the looks of the system or the customer service, figure out what you need. Never hesitate to give us a call and ask us questions. We love helping our customers and it is our pleasure to help you figure out if our system will work for you.

What Customers Are Saying About Trisha
She was professional and informative, answering all my many questions, enabling me to make an informed decision right away. She even talked me through my dismal computer skills when dealing with the paperwork online. I live in a senior community with 80 other residents and I will be talking about Bay and my experience with Tricia every night at dinner! I even have Tricia's phone # to give to my friends here who are interested. Can't wait to get the equipment. Thank you Tricia.

Having no previous experience with medical alert devices, I was a little unsure of what I actually needed for my parents. He made the entire experience quick and easy. Thank you!
