Vial of Life
Included with every new subscription. The Vial of Life is designed to speak for you when you can't speak for yourself. It allows our customers to have their complete medical information (allergies, medications, etc.) in their home for emergency personnel to reference during an emergency.
How does it connect to my home?
We offer both in-home and on-the-go devices. Our in-home systems connect via a traditional landline or via cellular and our mobile devices all connect via cellular. If you're unsure on which system or device to choose, give us a call and we'll help you figure it out.
Is this eligible for HSA/FSA reimbursement?
YES! All Bay Alarm Medical services are approved (merchant code 8099) eligible for HSA/FSA reimbursement.
Does Insurance cover the costs?
You will need to contact your provider to determine if coverage is available.
Can Medicare cover the costs?
Traditional Medicare (Part A and Part B) does not cover medical alert systems. However, some Medicare Advantage (Part C) plans and private insurers do offer coverage. Some long-term care insurance plans also offer coverage. Read our blog post to learn more about medicare coverage.
Is there a trial period?
Yes. We provide a 15-day trial period from the date the system arrives at your doorstep. If you decide the system isn't right for you, ship the system back to us and we'll refund your money minus shipping costs.
Are there any hidden fees?
Bay Alarm Medical does not have any hidden fees associated with our medical alert services. All charges, including any one-time equipment costs, are shown clearly during the checkout process.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
Bay Alarm Medical does not require a long-term contract. Unlike some companies, we want to keep things simple. We will cancel your account once we receive all of the equipment in working/original condition without any cancellation fees.
What's your refund policy?
You may cancel your Bay Alarm Medical subscription at any time and we will refund any unused months less shipping costs.
What payment options do you offer?
We currently offer Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual payment options. Meaning, your card will be automatically charged every month, every three months, or once every year depending what you choose. Payments can be set up using a credit card or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover). We do not accept American Express cards.
What happens if I cancel early?
If you purchase a quarterly or annual plan and cancel early, we will prorate and refund any unused months minus shipping and/or any free month promotions. Please note that we require 3 months of paid service for free shipping and 11 months of paid service for a free month.
How do I cancel service?
Give us a call to let us know you'd like to cancel service. If applicable, ship the equipment back to our corporate headquarters: 1140 Galaxy Way, Suite #150 Concord, CA 94520. We recommend getting a tracking number when shipping the package back to us.

Do your medical alert systems come with a warranty?
Your medical alert base station is protected under a warranty with Bay Alarm Medical as long as the issue occurred because of normal “wear and tear,” or manufacturer defect. However, the system is not protected if it is damaged beyond our control. (e.q. water damage, power surge, is dropped and breaks, cut wires, etc.)
