Part 1: Bay Alarm Medical is Moving!

Part 1: Bay Alarm Medical is Moving!

September 13, 2012

Because of our wonderful customers and super stellar team, Bay Alarm Medical has grown quite a bit over the last few years. In order to support the growing number of clients and continue to provide the highest level of customer service that’s expected of us, we needed to hire more customer service reps and fulfillment techs to our team (don’t get me wrong, it’s a wonderful problem to have).

It was time to move on to bigger and better things. Here are a couple recent images of our current workspace. As you’ll notice, it was getting a bit small.

Since the beginning, Bay Alarm Medical operated inside the corporate building of our parent company, Bay Alarm. They sectioned off a small part of the building so we could operate efficiently.

As more and more customers chose us to handle their 24/7 medical alert system needs, we quickly started to outgrow our office space. Luckily, there was a small unoccupied building across the parking lot that was used as storage space for old files, furniture, and miscellaneous clutter.

Here’s an outside look of the building we’ll be leaving =(

And here’s a shot of the new house/office across the parking lot a couple hundred feet away!

Upper management spoke and we all decided that this would be the new home for Bay Alarm Medical! It’s definitely no where as large as the corporate office but it’s nice to know that Bay Alarm Medical will now have it’s own dedicated building!

After we moved out all the clutter and did a bit of interior demolition, here are some photos of what the inside looked like.

As you can see, we’re starting from scratch. A lot of the dry wall was torn down, windows will need be replaced, new lighting will need to be installed and the flooring will need to be refinished and eventually covered with new carpet.

A lot of the infrastructure used to support our company will also need to be replaced. This includes new wiring throughout the office as well as new computer equipment.Thank goodness we have skilled people on our team! Just look at the mess they had to deal with…

Definitely a work in progress and we’re all super excited and can’t wait to see the end results! Stay tuned as we chronicle the entire renovation from start to finish. Part 2 soon to come!
