VIDEO: What Happens If The Dispatcher Can’t Hear Me?

March 24, 2015

The Bay Alarm Medical Alert System has a range of up to 1000ft. This means that the base unit can still receive an emergency signal from the button from your yard or driveway if as long as it’s within that range. Our emergency buttons don’t have built-in speakers, so although the signal could still reach, our dispatchers may not be able to hear you from that far away.

Find out what happens if our dispatchers can’t hear you in this video.

Hi, I’m Katie, Customer Service Representative here at Bay Alarm Medical. We have a question today from Dorothy from Pennsylvania. She asks “What happens if the dispatcher can’t hear me?”

Well Dorothy, once you press your button, a dispatcher will come over the two-way speaker in the base unit and ask if you are OK. If you do not respond, we will try the home phone. If you do not answer your home phone, we will treat it as an emergency and dispatch the local paramedics.

I hope that answers your question, Dorothy. If you or anyone else has any questions, please feel free to give us a call at 1-877-522-9633.

Thank you!
