I love the extra protection of the SOS Micro. Pressing the button gets an almost immediate response from a dispatcher.However, the way the SOS Micro is designed, the button is flush with the... casing, causing way too many false alarm presses! This poor design has caused the accidental activation of the button more than 6 times in one and a half months. The button needs to be fully recessed far into the case so it can't be pressed accidentally. Using the belt clip, it takes a tremendous amount of pressure from strong, steady fingers to properly seat the Micro into the clip, and those strong and steady fingers to pry it back off the belt clip to charge.Bay Medical, please consider making a recessed button version of the Micro and redesigning the charging port so the device doesn't need to be removed from the lanyard, watch, clip, etc.Moving on to the review of the app. I was under the impression that the Micro sends out the location of the device to the app every 30 seconds. I cannot get the app to refresh the location on its own and have to force a manual signal refresh each time. Unfortunately, pushing the "refresh signal" button is not reliable either. I can go for days without a location update.For example, clicking on the map today says: Last requested: 05/31/2025 04:40 PM EDT Map Information as of:05/27/2025 09:12 PM EDT.That's 5 days ago...I'm happy to have the Micro, but there is much room for improvement.read more

I'm not crazy about the sound clarity of the main unit. It is very difficult to discern what is being said from the operator. everything is muffled and the operator has to repeat quite often when... we call in for a test. wish Bay Alert would just send us a better unit.read more

This review is solely based on Customer Service since I have yet to try the product. Customer service has been very helpful in trying to determine the best product for my 90+ year-old mother. My... initial phone call, I spoke to a gentleman who is very Kind and thorough. I received the product I initially chose, However, determined that it will not be best suited for her needs. Calling a second time, Sarah was helpful in telling me about other products that perhaps will be. I’ll be returning one for another and will update this reviewread more
