How Do I Setup My GPS Medical Alert System?

We recently introduced our new GPS Medical Alert System. Since then we’ve been receiving a lot of calls and questions about how to setup the device once you receive it in the mail.
In this video, Warehouse Technician Tony shows you how to setup and test your new GPS Medical Alert System.
TONY: Hi, this is Tony from Bay Alarm Medical Tech Support. Today we have a question from Phylis in Wisconsin. Phylis asks “How Do I Setup My New GPS Medical Alert System?”
That’s a great question Phylis. Let us show you how it works.
Once it blinks, it’s fully charged and you’re ready to use it.
When you first receive the GPS unit out of the box, you’ll want to dock it into the charger that comes with the unit. Let it charge for four hours and after which it can be used for two days on one charge. You’ll notice that the unit is fully charged when you see that the Power icon on the far left of the unit starts to blink. Once it blinks, it’s fully charged and you’re ready to use it.
Feel free to take it off the charger and take it outside to give it it’s first test. Once you’re outside, you’ll notice that the bars next to the Power icon will start to blink. That means that the unit is starting to receive [cellular] signal.
At this point, you’re ready to test the unit. Now, let me show you how to test the unit.
Once a connection is established, the unit will ring.
To test the unit, simply hold down the black square in the center of the unit for 3 seconds. Once you do this, the unit will vibrate. Next, when you first establish a connection it will take a moment. Once the connection is established, the unit will ring. [unit making telephone ringing sounds].

Operator: Ok, you’re just testing?
Tony: That is correct.
Operator: Alright, thank you. Is there anything else we can do for you?
Tony: No thank you, you’ve been very helpful.
Operator: Alright, you have a good day.
Tony: Thank you, you too.
Once the call ends, the unit will reset.
Once the call ends, the unit will reset. You’ll simply put the unit back on the charging dock whenever you’re not using it.
