It's rare to hear about the virtues of eating pizza every day, but investigators recently said that Memphis, Tennessee, resident Jean Wilson's habit may just have saved her life, according to KTLA.

The senior woman had been ordering one large pepperoni pizza from Domino's every day for the past three years but, on Saturday, February 19, the calls suddenly stopped. Pizza delivery driver Susan Guy suspected that something was amiss and visited Wilson's home.

WMC-TV reports that she tried knocking on the door and asking the neighbors if they had seen her. Finally, Guy called 911 and police officers broke down the door to the residence. They found that Wilson had fallen on the floor on Saturday and had been unable to get up. If it hadn't been for Guy's efforts, the woman may have died.

Falls can be fatal events in a senior's life, so it's important that one has a way to send a medical alert to doctors in the case of an emergency. Installing a device such as a medical alarm in a home can be a way to effectively get help.

As for Guy, she's happy that Wilson is okay.

"She treats us really well," she told the news source. "She appreciates us, and that's something we don't get in customers a lot."
