Kelly: Hi, This is Kelly with Bay Alarm Medical. We have a question from Allison in California. Allison asks “How do medical alert systems work?”
Well, once your button is pressed – whether that be your necklace button or your wrist button – it will send a signal to your base unit. The alarm will sound off on your base unit, and a dispatcher will come over the two way speaker shortly after and ask you if you are ok.
The alarm will sound off on your base unit, and a dispatcher will come over the two way speaker shortly after and ask you if you are ok.
Based off of your response, they will either call your contact list or they will send emergency services. Now, if you’re unresponsive, they will go ahead and automatically send emergency services and then they will call your entire contact list.
Thank you for your question, Allison. Please give us a call at 1-877-522-9633 if you have any more questions and have a great day.
