Here are five reasons why having a medical alert system is going to be much better than relying on your cell phone in an emergency. Reason number one. You won’t always have your cell phone on you. No matter what you think you’ll do, that cell phone is not always going to be on your person. Reason number two. You’re going to have to tell 911 what your problem is and where you’re located in order for them to send help. Reason number three. You’re going to have to charge that phone on a daily basis, which means while it’s charging it’s not on you.
Reason number four. Your cell phone is most likely not waterproof, meaning while you’re showering or bathing you don’t have that cell phone anywhere near you. Finally, reason number five. You probably don’t sleep with your cell phone by your side, so in the middle of the night, if an emergency were to occur, that’s not going to be within your reach. With the medical alert system, you a wearable button that you can have on your person at all times. You can sleep with it. It is waterproof. We also have back up buttons to place around your home, if for any reason you do happen to take your buttons off.
In addition to that, Bay Alarm Medical keeps your address on file so we know exactly where to send emergency services when that button is pressed. You don’t even have to tell us what’s wrong. As long as you press your button, we’re going to be sending help to your location. If you have our GPS device and you’re out and about, we’ll still be able to communicate with you over that device and send help directly to your location anywhere in the United States. If you have any more questions, we’d be happy to address any concerns you have.
