Do I Need A Landline To Use Bay Alarm Medical Alert Systems?
September 29, 2014
“What if I don’t have a landline?” or “Do I have to have a landline?” are some of our most commonly asked questions by our callers.
In this video, our Customer Service Representative Kelly goes over options for customers without a traditional landline home phone service.
KELLY: Hi, this is Kelly with Bay Alarm Medical. We have a question from Joe in Florida. Joe asks “Do I need a landline to use your medical alert systems?”
Thank you for the question Joe.
You do not need a landline in order to use our service.
No, you do not need a landline in order to use our service. We have two options available for those who do not have a landline. The first option is our In-Home Cell Unit. This unit is primarily designed for those who spend the majority of their time in the home. This unit does not require a landline or a cellphone because it has a SIM card that uses AT&T cellular signal.
We recommend getting the GPS system with one of our In-Home Systems.
Or, if your loved one is very active and spends most of their time outside of the home, we recommend getting our GPS Medical Alert. Similar to the In-Home Cell Unit, this system uses a SIM card that uses AT&T’s cellular signal. For best possible service, we recommend getting the GPS system with one of our In-Home systems. That way your loved one can be protected in the home and out of the home.
